Technology

Laaq Inc. works in partnership with suppliers of innovative technologies whose effectiveness is recognized worldwide.

Laserag

The LaserAG system was born out of the desire to find a new method to analyze the soil matrix more accurately and quickly than traditional techniques. First collected in bar-coded wells that are georeferenced, the samples are scanned with a smart phone using the LaserAG Sampler software. They are then sent to the analytical laboratory, which uses Laser Induced Plasma Spectroscopy (LIPS) to detect and quantify soil nutrients. Finally, the results and recommendations are provided to the producer using the partner LaserAG software in less than three days, compared to the minimum two-week turnaround time expected with conventional analysis methods.

Software

Laaq inc. offers its customers access to software that supports the implementation of agronomic recommendations with precision, efficiency and speed. This software allows to keep a good register of farms and therefore, to use an up-to-date database. Among these tools is the LaaqFerti + software, which is a geomatics tool, a memory aid, a communication tool and a formidable decision support tool.

Farm Summary Document

Laaq inc. offers a service similar to the Quebec Agri-Environmental Fertilization Plan (AEFP), but adapted to the reality of the African continent. This document contains a description of the farm operation and a summary of animal and plant production as well as a fertilization plan adapted to the reality of the farm. It also contains satellite images and detailed farm plans for each parcel of land. Finally, the document proposes an irrigation plan adapted to the different crops present on the farm.
